Our Puggle Breeding Background

We started breeding Puggles two years ago, with extremely successful results. Using Pedigree Beagles and Pugs, the results have been some of the best in Europe. A brother / sister partnership, we both grew up on our parents' kennels breeding German Shephards.

My brother started his own breeding kennels 10 years ago, dealing with pedigree Pugs and Beagles. After a holiday in New York 2 years ago, seeing the Puggle breed, he started to breed Puggles. Woodgreen is based is Writtle and the kennels are run by my brother and his wife, offering the dogs a good start in life.

I also take the puppies from Woodgreen two weeks before they go to their new homes, to get them used to London life and living without their mother. This ensures a smooth handover when it comes to the Puggles going to their new owners. We allow the puppies to go to their new homes at 13 weeks.

The Beagles and Pugs that we use have some of the best pedigrees throughout Europe. We have world champions, cruft winners and dogs which are well known on the showing circuits. On request I can send the pedigrees via email.
